"I wanted to create a crackle effect for the background color to come through the glass and clay. The glass was easy, as it can be achieved by submerging it in water. The clay was more difficult. It took 6 months to perfect the glaze, I love the texture." (a recent quote of Freund regarding similar more recent works)

This is a wonderful art glass vase featuring red and turquoise intricate crackle pattern. The vase form has four upper shoulders which taper down to a round base. This vase was hand blown and signed by artist BRUCE FREUND, dated 1998.
This piece is in very good/excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs. The vase has a strong pontil mark on the bottom. One of a kind beautiful art glass piece and a great size. It would make a splendid gift.
